Ok so you've decided to visit leicester for a night out, lets start with some pre-drinking fodder. Eating Out: Leicester is a multi cultural city, and its cultural mix provides some exciting opportunities to sample a good variety of cuisines. The city excels in authentic Indian restaurants but also offers several cosmopolitan dining venues. The range of cafes and restaurants in Leicester is extensive; lively Spanish tapas bars, wonderful Italian cuisine, Mexican, Chinese, Creole, French, Greek and Arabic. But Leicester's greatest culinary strength is South Asian food, exciting thalis, Indian sweets and delicious fresh samosas are just some of the cuisine on offer. Most can be found directly in or around the City Centre which is a five minute stroll form the Train Station. Going Out: The city's many clubs are very popular for big nights out. So whether you want the latest in dance music, independent artists or prefer to dress up in a seventies costume complete with flares you will find something in Leicester. Many of the clubs have special themed nights encompassing different types of music and 'student nights' during the week with significantly reduced prices.
From spacious conversions of former factories to cosy and kitsch bars, Leicesters bars and pubs provide something for every individual. With over two hundred it is difficult to give credit to the range! Enjoy your time in Leicester, i hope this helps. |
